A cool yule

Good morning all, a warm welcome to the latest at CD Sunday.
Before we get onto the challenge i would just like say a big thank you to Pauline and Meg who made such fabulous guest designers over the past few months.
Staring today we have two more Guest designers who will also be familiar to many of you and they are Shaz from "Crafty little blogger" and Jane From "Onions and Paper" and we wish them a very warm welcome.
The Challenge has been chosen by myself this fortnight and it's called a Cool Yule, so i hope as we are all well into our Christmas cards that you will be able to play along with us. The only requirement is that you take something from a Cd and add to your creation nomatter how small it is and give credit to the CD.
For my card the CD i have used is one of the polka doodles called "Not only for boys". I have printed off the images and cut them out leaving a small white border and then arranging them on to the topper, i also added some stickles to add a touch of bling.
So i hope to visit you soon to see what a cool yule you will be having and that just leaves me to wish you all a very very Merry Christmas.

Colours of Autumn with Jocelyn

Good morning crafters from a wet and grey North Wales, this next two weeks our challenge at CD Sunday has been set by team mate Jocelyn and she has chosen Colours of Autumn, and what a vast variety we have at this time of year.
For my contribution i have used craft card in a tent fold, I have used a die to give it a filigree lower edge, my CD element is the backing paper that i took from M.C.S Florigraphy CD 2, so many autumnal colours can be found on this CD. I have used several dies on this card for the boots, leaves and dandelion head and a ribbon to finish off.

Photo inspiration with Jocelyn at CD Sunday

Good morning Cd Sunday crafters
Our theme for this fortnight is brought to you by Jocelyn and it is
Photo inspiration
We would love to see what you can make with this photo as your inspiration, check out the teams takes on this , all so different, so lets see what you come up with.
At first I intended to use part of the photo to use as a background but then decided to pick out the colours as my inspiration for this card. The CD I have used is from Serif called Steampunk Inventor, a really good CD for your male cards.
As you know two of our design team have stepped down , both of them founder members and we shall miss them both, but to bring us back up to full strength we have invited 4 guests to join us over the next few months, so starting in September we have the 2 very talented designers joining use from September to November and they are Pauline (aka Cotnob and Meg (aka Bits and Pieces) then for December to February we have Jane (onions and paper) and Shaz (shaz's crafty corner) , we are all super excited and pleased that they have agreed to join in with us over the next few months.
So do look in to give a very warm welcome to everyone,
I look forward to seeing what you create from Jocelyn inspirational photo and look forward to visiting your blogs.

Add a stamped image at CD Sunday Challenge

Good morning crafter and welcome to latest CD Sunday Challenge.
The challenge is set for you this fortnight by team mate Christine. Christine has made this an easy one for everyone to do, yes just add a stamped image and use something from a CD, any of your choice .....simples.
Our last challenge was set by Jenny (flitter & flutter) and she will be selecting her top three to be announced later, so do back to see if you are a winner.

I have made a standard 5x7 card and the CD i used is Artylicious Damask Delight by Glenda Waterworth. So the Cd element to this card is the damask background paper, and that is the only thing from a CD that i have used.
I used two stamps , the main image is a Santoro clear stamp and the sentiment stamp is a rubber unmounted one from crafters companion, both stamped using Memento tuxedo black. The other ingredients to this card are in the photo below,  embossing folder from Darice, die from Tonic, copic's and jelly roll pens for colouring and liquid pearls and  a dew drop Brilliance ink in galaxy gold for edging the sentiment, image and card.
well i hope you can all join in again and i look forward to visiting you.

Flitter & Flutter with Jenny at CD Sunday

I must be getting old, i feel that time is flying by and its already time for a new challenge.
Just before we look at the new Challenge our last challenge had some fabulous entries and Carol will back and forth to select her top three.
This fortnights challenge has been selected for you by Jenny, .
Don't think of just birds and butterfly's, there is plenty of scope for this one and if i had of been more organized i had an idea of what I wanted to do, but time is now against me so i have gone with a Polka doodles CD called Back to nature.
So everything on this card has come from the CD and not too much cutting out, although i do enjoy cutting.
I have made so that the tree opens back to reveal the cute owl behind and then opens again for the insert and verse, the owl also has a back image, so i could have paced her in the aperture and once opened you see the back of her, but i liked her just on the opened page .
So get your thinking caps on and join us again this fortnight and please remember to use something from a CD and give it credit.
See you all soon

For the next fortnight the challenge has been chosen by team mate Carol and it is Four legs and a Tail.
So you have so much to pick from , i wonder who will come up with the most original or comical one.
I have again used good old House Mouse,  it's a very straight forward card , the image and sentiment where compiled in craft artist and printed off , one background paper and green card for the matting of the image .
Please remember to use something from a cd , no matter how small and tell what you have used and from what CD to be eligible for any prize that may be on offer.

Add some Bling or Glitter

Morning all, it is my turn to set a theme for our CD Sunday challenge and i have chosen add some Bling or Glitter.
My card is a very simple one and quick and easy to do, I have use a CD from Debbi Moore called Glitter & Glitz , Magic Moments.
The background and topper have been printed directly onto the card, ( this is the first time i have tried doing a card this way) more of a test really to see how it looks. I can see the advantage of doing cards this way, for quickness and simplicity of posting but i prefer to craft it with cutting and gluing in the traditional way . The glitter i used is an Ice Stickles, Crystal ice and have applied it her dress and hat and i have also used silver peel offs , yes i know a lot of you don't like peel offs although most of us have them in our stash, i do like them although i don't use the much they do have a place in crafting and i did promise myself to use up things from my stash and try to reduce the amount of things i have, because no matter how many times you say your  not going to buy more stash there is always something we crafters really need.
So as i say very quick and simple from printer to card , added glitter , a foiled sentiment and a pair of shoes with little red stones.
Please do take a look at what my team mates have produced for your inspiration this time, and i look forward to seeing what you come with and visiting your blogs.

Clean and Simple with Jenny

Happy Easter Sunday everybody
This fortnight we are being clean and simple with Jenny and i do hope we get lots of takers for this one too.
For my CD element  i have only used a 2x2 piece of paper taken from a My Craft Studio CD called Floriography CD 2.
I have used a 6x6 white card base with another piece of the same white card and mounted the 2x2 paper , then stamped the butterfly images using versafine ink , the stamp was free with a magazine .
Added a sentiment and a piece of ribbon , there you have it one quick clean and simple card.

Sentiments with Carol at CD Sunday

As i write this the sun is shining and it's lovely and warm as I sit by the window looking out on blue sky's and new growth in the garden , the only down side is the grass needs to be cut.
Not to many entries for my Shabby Chic in our last challenge but i can understand that as so many say they don't know what it means.
I hope you will be more keen on Carols choice for the next two weeks.
Sentiments.
Now it's very rare that you see a card without a sentiment of some sort so this is like an open challenge or anything goes as long as you use a sentiment and something from a CD.
For my card I have used 2 CD's
Halcyon days and In otherwords
also added
Paper doilies, big bloomer flower, bakers twine and a few die cuts.
The sentiment reads
you'll always be my best friend......
you know too much.
So get your crafting hats on and join us.

Shabby Chic

It's my turn to set the challenge for you this week and i have gone with Shabby Chic, .
Before i get down to that we at CD Sunday received the very sad news that our former friend and team mate Wendy had pass away, I am sure so many of you will remember Wendy, better know in blog land as Purple Crazy, our heart felt condolences are sent to her family and friends.
Jocelyn will be picking her top 3 and it will be listed on our next challenge.
For my project this fortnight i have used an 8 x 8 canvas and the CD used is a Crafters Companion Flower Fairy Friends.
I started by spraying the canvas with a copper shimmer mist before i put on the back paper from the CD.
The rest of the recipe are as follows
Image from Cd,  rose blossom,  paper roses,  wooden embellishments,  hessian ,  metal corners,  die cuts ,  a large Docrafts big bloomer ,  fabric button and gilding wax.
This challenge runs for two weeks and i look forward to seeing what you make, please remember to use something from a CD no matter how small to ensure you are eligible for ant prize that may be on offer.

Everything stops for tea

Our latest Challenge has been brought you by team mate Jocelyn and it's Everything stops for tea, but before we take a look at that lets just say Thank you to everyone who entered our challenge set by Wynn, Floral frenzy, and you all seemed to enjoy that one, so Wynn will be looking at all of entries again and picking her top three.
As soon as i saw Jocelyn's theme i knew what CD i would be using, I have gone with a M.C.S. A very important date , I love this CD and find it to be very good for all ages and both male female , young and old.
For the base card i have used craft card and printed out the back paper and the topper was printed twice so i could decoupage the mad March hare , as i had no one in mind when making this i decided just to add an open sentiment  for now.
I do hope you will be inspired by the lovely cards my team mates have created and join us again , and i look forward to visiting your blogs . Happy crafting and please remember that you must use something from a CD to be eligible for any prize that may be on offer. x

Floral Frenzy with Wynn at CD Sunday

Not so many entries last time for our challenge but Christine will still have a hard job to pick her top three out of the wonderful ones that entered. I really enjoyed the challenge and this week we have another good one for you , this time it is team mate Wynn who is bringing you the challenge entitled Floral Frenzy and on the CD Sunday challenge blog you will see great inspiration from the Design team.
For my card i have used a Cd from Joanna Sheen called Enchanted Dreams, the art work is so lovely throughout this compilation, you wont be disappointed.
I have used the shaped cards section and printed it out on white shimmer card and it gives it a very opulent finish. Not to much cutting out , only to the front cover and that overlaps the same picture on the inside , there is a space to add your own sentiment, i have used a stamp.
I look forward to seeing what you create for us this time.

Tag card 6" x 3" with Christine

Welcome to our latest fortnightly challenge over at CD Sunday, this challenge has been brought to you by team mate Christine and it's Tag Card 6" x 3".
You can have so much fun with tags,  the possibilities are endless and styles unlimited .
I love to use tags and have made quite a few just as decorations hanging in my craft space and they do make great book marks to give to friends, also a grate way of using up scrap card.
For my Tag card i have used a 6" x 6" white card scored and folded in half and trimmed the top corners to get the shape i wanted. For my CD element i have used  MCS Floriography CD2 for the back paper, the images are from graphic 45 Ladies Diary , the fence has been cut out on the cameo , and the sentiment is a stamp ,finished of with gold ribbon. I enjoyed making this tag and all the fussy cutting for the embellishments
So do join us again with this lovely challenge and we shall be visiting you too.
This is one of the tags i made for Christmas decorations

Animal antics with Jenny

Our theme this time has been chosen by Jenny and it's Animal Antics .
Before we get on to that i will start by thanking Carrol for our last challenge Winter walks, we did have a good response this even though it was over the festive season and a lot of people where still off work and may still had visitors staying.
This time it's Animal Antics and that does give you a very large scope for images, i have used one i found on the net and thought it quite amusing , the CD i used is one from a set of 5  from Serif all to do with Steam punk.
I have chosen this back paper and printed it of, I used a 6x 6 craft card and add a speech balloon with the sentiment and add a few card candy
This is nice quick and easy card with a little humor and is a great man card.
I hope you will be able to join again this time around.

Countdown to Christmas
