About Me

My photo
Hello and welcome to my blog, this is my sanctury from real life, a little bit of space for doing what i love, and that's crafting. scrapbook, cards, box's and anything inky. I do follow a lot of blogs as i like the challenges that i find and also the inspiration i get from them, so many talented people with great ideas. So please feel free to leave a comment so i know you have popped by and i can call on you. Sue

This card is for Michelle, the background paper is debossed and lightly coloured with promarker. The stamp is woodland fairy from "sugar Nellie" and also coloured with promarkers. Placed a metal brad and a peel off happy birthday.  I hope she likes it , i know she likes toadstools and fairies
I made this card last night for Sarah, but today i can see so many thing that i should have done differently. The card is Kanban that i love, the image is from MY CRAFT STUDIO " walk in wonderland". The plain card is Burgundy and contrasts nicely with the pinks and the images have a smattering of stickles. I will give her this card as i do not have time to do another but it's a learning curve for me and hopefully my next one will be better.

A card for my nephew's 40th birthday. It quite plain as he hates fussy things. The image is taken from a polka doodles CD "not for girls definitely for men". A red card as he's a Liverpool fan.

This card was made using candy doodles CD, coloured with promarkers and the top stamp is from smirk. Not hard to make but i think i should have used a different colour for the case on the cake. First attempt so not too bad!

two Christmas cards using kanban card and toppers. These are great for quickness and you can usually get more than one card from a sheet. The third card has also got some kanban card, this topper was made from a kanban double sided card and the stamp is smirk. i have used promarkers to colour the stamp and just finished off with some pink and black peel offs, my daughter may get this if i don't get round to making another this week.

I Have made this card to send to Lynn who is now 35 years married. The card used is kanban and i cut out the hearts from the same card. They have been placed on a pearl card, the hearts are cut from a cuttlebug die. The card is much lighter than the photo and the insert paper is white not blue. I am pleased with the card but i still think it looks homemade rather than handmade but with work i will get there in the end.

I Received a card in this style from my sister and liked it so much i decided to try and make one for my mum.

I don't find it easy to do men's cards but i did this one for my son's birthday. This was taken from a polka doodles CD, not for girls definitely for men. I'm pleased to say he liked it. The background paper is the queens bury rules.

long time no c

Well it's been a long time since i came to this page. It was my sister jenny that reminded me i did try it once and have never used it again, so her i am and now i don't know what i want to with it!!!!!!!!!
It was going to be a place where i could share my cards and learn some techniques and get hints from other crafter's. I have been back to look at blogs from my sister and her fellow bloggers but never got back to adding to my own.
I have also my a few cards for family and friends but most of the time not taken a photograph of them, the only photos that i have our my first attempts , not perfect but i was pleased with them at the time. I shall try to put some on and if i can manage that may come back again with some new ones.

Countdown to Christmas
