Round again (Recycling) at CD Sunday

Round again (Recycling), that's the challenge from Carol this week.,
but first thanks to all of you who entered our Dies challenge set by Jenny, lovely cards from everyone and jenny will be deciding on her top 3.
Now as i say Carol has set the mood for this challenge and i hope you will enjoy it as much i have , just take a look at what the DT's have come up with to hopefully give you some inspiration.
I have recycled a pet food box , this is extremely strong firm cardboard and proved perfect for the spine and covers for these mini albums. I have made two from one box so that's a great saving on chipboard that would normally be used in the making of these albums, both albums have six pages with pockets for adding your photos and journalling cards and tages for recording your memories.
I was also able to use a lot of papers that  i have printed off from CD's and not got round to using, and as you know we accumulate a lot of stuff and it keeps getting larger by the week, so i have made a small dent in the past stash and that's something i wanted to do this year, use what i have.
I found a tutorial for this on youtube  and was very easy to follow and make

CD Sunday Challenge ....Dies

Good morning everyone , I hope you have all taken advantage of the lovely weather we have been having.
Our challenge two ago was set by Caz ( at the seaside ) and the entries where all fab so Caz will selecting her top three.
For our next fortnightly Challenge it is Jenny's turn to set the theme and she has gone with Dies, I know these are really very popular just now and you can create some wonderful cards with them.
For my card i have used a white card that has been sprayed with three different colours of shimmer mist to match the paper i have used from the M.C.S.  CD Floriography, this is a favorite Cd for me as i love so many of the papers. I have used a piece of craft card and added a length of edging using a spellbinder die from the shapeabilities range called  Vintage lace accents, i put the floriography paper on top of this , on the paper i have also used a stamp called Botanical from Kaiser craft and i used a distressed for this keeping it quite muted, then added to further dies from spellbinders from the nestabilities and stamped the sentiment using distress ink from ranger, the flowers where stamped with exquisite embossing ink in garnet , added a ranger embossing powder called pearl blue then cut them out and formed the flower and added some stickles to the center of each flower . I wanted to make a semi gungy card and i think the use of the distressing inks have done this without it being too dark.
So i do hope you will be able to join in this week and don't forget you now have 2 weeks before the closing date.
Please remember to use something from a CD and give credit to whatever you use,

Thank you for your lovely entries for the tots to teens challenge last week, i have a lot to think about and will be going over all the entries again and Jenny will announce the top three on the blog next Sunday i think, although our challenges are  now fortnighly.
This week is Caz's turn to pick a theme and she has gone with At the seaside.
Foe my card i have gone with an old favorite as you can always find something appropriate with La Pashe, The best of La Pashe .
Made on 7x7 yellow card and with one layer of decoupage and i printed out a few shells and things relating to the sea.
I do hope you will be able to join us this week and remember to tell us what CD you have used.
