Quotations

Well i must start with an apology for the quality of the pic'c today, taken this evening in artificial light and really don't do any justice to the real colours.
This is an MDF blank that i have covered with paper taken from the Linda Ravenscroft's  Enchanted Cd. Several things have been added but with such a poor photo they don't show up, the edges have been done with Tim Holts inks and a little gilding wax, a couple of skeleton leaves to go with image, and spellbinders peacock feathers and gold corbels and accents.
This is for the CD Sunday Challenge that is Quotations, so do pop over and give it a go.

All about spring

All about Spring
Another miserable and wet week has passed and i am feeling the sadness for all that are still suffering from this awful run of weather, living quite high it is unlikely that our little town here in North Wales would suffer from floods but we have been cut of before now. I'm sure that everyone feels the same and is praying for it pass.
Caz made the choice last week for the CD Sunday Challenge (Love always) and what a popular choice it was, after looking at all the entries (and there was such a variety of styles)  Caz will have a hard time picking her  top Three.

This weeks challenge has been set by Beryl and i don't know about you but this is what I'm waiting for..lol.  All about spring is the challenge this week.
For my card i have used the Artylicious CD Butterfly Bliss, some lovely papers on these CD's, i have used craft artist for the layout and also to be able to add shadow. I have printed this onto 170gsm clarity paper and i do like the sheen it gives, although i don't think it shows on my pic . A lot of CD do come with a graphic and layout program but i still prefer to use craft artist.
I hope you like what i have come up with, and i look forward to seeing what you do too.

I used craft artist to compile it before printing it off flat for ease of postage. The image is a photo from the net and has been taken into photo lab and a paint and ink effect applied, the sentiment is computer generated.

Ribbons and Bows at CD Sunday

Thank you for all the wonderful entries for the Here Kitty Kitty challenge last week on CD Sunday. Deciding on my top three was not an easy job i can tell you. But well done to everyone who entered it really was a hard decision to pick a winner.
This week it is Jenny's turn to pick a theme and it is Ribbons and Bows,  now this should give you all plenty of scope and we look forward to seeing what you come up with.
For my card i have used my cameo to cut out a diamond trellis A5 in landscape to make an Anniversary card, my CD elements are the flowers, printed of a Polka doodles CD called Candy Doodles, i have threaded two ribbons, one white and one red and tied in the bows, i also added a couple of hologram sequins to the flowers  . Year of the Horse at CD Sunday

What a miserable start to the day, weather wise that is. Thank you for your fabulous creations last week for the Here Kitty Kitty challenge on CD Sunday, i have not picked my top three as yet as i am still looking through them and it's so hard to decide with such talented crafters.
This week it is team B who bring you another great Challenge at CD Sunday and this week it is Jocelyn's choice The Year of the Horse .
I have always loved horses and for years wanted my own, now i live in the beautiful countryside of North Wales and have friends who have horses and i understand why my parents said no, but i did have ridding lessons at our local stables and that was a great deal to me.
S0 this week i have done a 8x8 card , the back paper is from The Paddington Collection vol 1 from craft artist and the image is from the net. The card was created in CAP and printed off.
I hope you will be able to join in this week, just pop over to CD Sunday and take a look at the teams inspiration cards for some great ideas.
Now back to looking at last weeks entrants to pick my top three for Here Kitty Kitty, good luck everyone.

Good morning everyone, hope i find you all well.  What a fabulous entry we have had for our last challenge on CD Sunday and i hope you will all be able to join us again with this weeks challenge that is called Here Kitty Kitty .
For my card i have used a white 8x8 card and the main image is from a Crafters  Companion CD called Tales of Beatrix Potter. , this CD was Actually free with  a craft magazine some time ago, very good for children's cards but equally good for all Beatrix fans .
So the image and backing paper are both from the cD , i have also used a couple of dies ,one in white and one in mirri, also a die cut butterfly, the sentiment is a lily of the Vally stamp embossed with copper embossing powder.
So i do hope you like the teams inspiration cards and you can join in with again this week.

The design team are splitting into two groups of 5, so one week we will be doing our cards hopefully to give you a little inspiration but on our week off we can enter in with you. We are also hoping to have new look to the blog with new graphics so if it's up and running when my scheduled post goes on that's a bonus.

We are Sailing

I hope you all had a special and merry Christmas and that the awful weather did not cause you and your loved ones any distress. I really  think this year has just flow by, they say its a sign of old age when you say that so i must really be getting old . So today is the last challenge of the year with CD Sunday and i hope you will have the time to join in with us this week,  it's team mate Sue T who has chosen the theme and it's We are Sailing, quite apt really as we sail into the 2014 .
For my card i have kept it simple , the backing paper is from Paddington collection Volume 1 and the toppers are from Kanban that i had in my stash, i have torn the paper to hopefully give a feel of waves and really i did not need to do any more so as i say this is quick and easy card to end the year.
That just leaves me to wish you all a very happy New Year

On the Beach

Not a good week for me, got a letter telling me i had to pay £70 to Parking eye for being in a Aldi car park for more than the allotted time, fuming now, then i went to get my new glasses and i couldn't see through them at all, so another wait and another trip to collect them and to top it off while doing some gardening i got stung by a bee, a small wild bee who has left my wrist swollen ,red and very sore, i think i have a hive in the pampas grass. So i hope things will now settle down,.

OK on to this weeks Challenge at CD Sunday and it's On The Beach and has been chosen for you by Caz. We still have Linby with us who has brought you some amazing cards this month, so do pop over and visit her blog at Crafty Linby.

hello and welcome to another challenge at CD Sunday.
This weeks theme Garden Pleasures has been chosen by Christine and a love choice it is too.
I'm sure you will all have your own ideas on this and i look forward to seeing just what you come up with.
we didn't have as many entries as usual for last weeks theme but I'm thinking that's because of the children being on holiday and the weather so lovely, so I'm sure many of you have been spending time in your gardens.
For my card i have used House mouse and several items from my serif kits, i have also used a punch and stamp for the sentiment.
The whole card was put together in craft artist and printed out and put onto white card and then i just added the pink border with peel off's, I have not used them much lately but i do intend to try and use as much from my stash as i can before i buy any more, and that's not an easy thing to do as i keep seeing things i need.
Please look in at the blog to see if your in the top three for last weeks challenge, and as always what ever you use from your CD's please give it a credit in your write up.

For my card, and this has been made for my friend who has just hit 60, I have made an easel card and the CD's I have used are My Craft Studio's Magical Metallics and M.C.S  A very important date. So the backing paper is from two CD's but the image is one i found on the net and thought it suited my friend who has a good sense of  humour. I have added some green pearls a small bow and the tea cups are also from " A very important Date " and we have shared many a cup of that together.

Go Green

We had lovely cards entered for last weeks challenge and it will take some thinking about the top three as they are very beautiful indeed.
This weeks Challenge is Go Green,
this is Jenny's choice for the theme this week.
Now this could mean recycle or green in colour and it's going to interesting to what you can come with this week.
For my card I have taken the easy option of making a card in colour green, now our guest and team have all been busy and have beautiful cards to get you thinking.

I have used Moorheads , Animals CD for my card and as you can see there is plenty of green going on in there. I really like these Cd's,  the images are lovely and so easy to put together and do make beautiful cards.
I look forwards to visiting you all again this week to see what you have been up to.

Ornate blossom

This weeks challenge at Cd Sunday is Ornate Blossom and has been chosen by Christine.
For my card i have used a My craft studio CD called Floriography Cd 2. I do tend to use this CD a lot for the lovely papers that are so easy to mix and match with so many things.
I have used a backing paper and matching topper from the CD and the topper has been mounted on a lilac card, added a whit ribbon and four glass flowers to the corners, the verse is one from William Shakespeare that i like very much. The flowers are not to deep so should be able to go into the post as normal.
Our guest this month Gloria ( misty's mum) has again done a beautiful card, so do be sure to pop over and see what else she has been up too.

Weddings

As its the start of new month we have to goodbye to Margaret as our guest for April. Thank you Margaret you have done us proud with all your beautiful creations the last month and hope that you will be able to join us again soon.
This week at CD Sunday it's all about Weddings and the the challenge has been chosen by Sue T. Now Sue picked this theme as this months guest designer Gloria (misty's mum) has recently got Married herself and all the team wish her all the happiness in the world.
We would like to welcome Gloria as our guest designer for this month and please do pop over and give here a visit
For my card i have a CD Called (working Ele). I purchased this Cd quite a few years ago when i started making cards, i got it from ebay  and think it cost about 99p, i remember thinking if no good i have not lost a fortune , but it's full of great images and papers so i did get a bargain.
Once again our Guest Gloria and the team have come up amazing cards for your inspiration and i look forward to seeing yours.
I would also like to enter this into the paper shelter challengehttp://thepapershelter.blogspot.co.uk/

Purple Paradise

This weeks challenge at CD Sunday is Wendy's choice and she has picked Purple Paradise and as you know Wendy it makes perfect sense.
We saw some beautiful creations for our Majesty challenge and the top three will put on the blog around Wednesday, so do look in to see if your one the lucky ones.
Margaret has been doing  splendid work as our guest designer and this weeks card is wowser.
for my creation i have used a Peerless Designs CD called Woodland fantasy and i have to say i love the art on this.
I have used a large MDF blank heart ( from Joanna Sheen, they come various sizes) and covered it in backing paper, the images have been cutout and glued, i have used die-cuts, liquid pearl, stickles,  cut out flowers and seed beads for the center, the sentiment was computer generated and added purple ribbon.
I hope you like it , it is now hanging in my mums house as i had made it for Mothers day .
Well i do hope you will join us this week and i will visit you too.
Happy crafting xx
