Tots to teens

This week we have sadly said goodby to Beryl as she has stepped down from the DT , wishing her well with what ever life has to offer and hope she will still join in with us whenever she can.

The other news is that we will become a fortnightly challenge as from next Sunday giving the team and you more time to create and enter, but for this challenge you have just a week and i do hope you will be able to join in with us.

It's my choice this week for the CD Sunday challenge and i have gone with Tots to teens , as i have five grandchildren i am always looking for inspiration in this area and think that sometimes they can be as tricky as male cards especially the teens.

For my card i have made it entirely from the Polka Doodles Work and play collection 2, working with it in craft artist. I have used an 8x8 white card and resized the image to fit the layout. I printed out all the papers and elements and layered them up, i decided to keep a white border with this as the papers are quite bold. I have used the coloured image from the cd just to save time but all the images do come in coloured and stamped so you can colour your own and go with want you want .

Please remember to use something from a CD but also to name what you have used in your write up.

Less is more

Less is more

I don't find this easy to do clean and simple lol, i am so used to lots of things together and i never know when to stop, anyway at less is more this week the challenge is a one layer challenge and that for me is a challenge, so  one layer with 3 of anything , ie, colours images , stamps words , you get the picture. 

So i have used a scalloped edge card, one sentiment stamp with three words and a flower stamp that i used a mask over and stamped it three times, to finish off i used three colours of flex markers on the flowers and used the same  colour as the petals  to just edge the card.

there's an awful lot of white showing so i hope it meets requirements.

Revamp of the box

 I have had this card index box for many years and have decided to give it a revamp.

 I started with the lid and applied this paper

 I have lots of small images and i sorted a few i thought would look good with paper.

 I have used collall glue and have no problems at all , no warping I'm pleased to say.

 Now that i have glued on my images i decided to use a adhesive clear film on the box as it's in regular use. 

 I was going to put paper flower on the lid but as i use it a lot and i tend to put other thing on top of it it's better left flat.

As it's such a miserable day i thought I'd do a card to cheer myself up. So i have stamped the image and coloured in promarkers, used a cat's eyes ink pad to edge the card, and circle and made a paper flower. i don't remember where the paper is from only that it from one of my card cd's.
